Leave a gift in your Will
Arranging to leave a legacy in your Will is simple.
If you have already made a Will, the simplest way to leave a legacy to the Conservative Foundation is by means of a Codicil or by a Letter of Wishes. Alternatively, if you are preparing a new Will, there are four common types of legacy you can use to leave a gift to the Conservative Foundation. These include;
- a residuary gift
- a cash or pecuniary gift
- a specific gift
- a reversionary gift

Inheritance tax-free status
The Conservative Foundation has an inheritance tax-free status which mean that any legacy you leave is free of inheritance tax. This is something you may want to consider when talking to your solicitor.

Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000
To be eligible to leave a legacy to the Conservative Foundation you must be listed on the electoral register in the United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).
